 IT’S GOING TO BE A BIGGIE

 A celebration of athletic talent of all ages, featuring Australia’s greatest distance race named after legendary Czech runner Emil Zatopek and events hosted by  Little Athletics Victoria and Victorian Athletic League. The 10,000m Zatopek title has been claimed by champions such as Ron Clarke, Steve Moneghetti, Craig Mottram, Susie Power, Sonia O’Sullivan and Lisa Martin-Ondieki. Who will be next?

Since its introduction in 1961 by the Victorian Marathon Club Zatopek:10 has grown to be one of Australia’s premier athletics race meets with Zatopek:10 doubling as an Australian Championship.

With an event list that includes   Little Athletics Events, Pro Runners Events,  General Athletics Events, and of course the Feature events such as the Women’s 10,000m ZATOPEK and the Men’s 10,000m ZATOPEK, what more reasons would you need to go –

WELL, let me give you a couple more,

4th event on the night will be the “Multi Age Relay” and Frankston Little Athletics Centre and Frankston Athletic Club will combine forces to field two teams in the relay  – Will they take out the  one / two double?  – well one thing is for certain  – it will be one to watch………

And then , to add to the excitement, the Frankston Athletic Club 4 x 400m relay team of Jarryd Buchan, Lawson Power, Matthew Napier and Nathan McConchie will give their all in an attempt to win the State 4 x 400m Relay title.

So come along, yell yourself hoarse in support of all of the Frankston Athletes and enjoy a great night of athletics.

Gates open at 5:00pm, Races Commence at 6:00pm and the last race is at 9:40pm
