President’s Award
This award is a club award and the recipient can be either an Athlete, Parent/Guardian, Coach or Volunteer. It is awarded entirely at the discretion of the President for whatever reason so determined
Club Person of the Year
All Club members are entitled to nominate one person who they believe has made an outstanding contribution to the Club over the previous twelve months. The nominated person does not have to be an office holder or have any specific role within the club.
Any person who has demonstrated genuine service to the Club whether as a Coach, Official, Committee Member , General Volunteer, Athlete or Parent/ Guardian etc is eligible to be nominated as Club Person of the Year. No minimum years of service are required to be nominated for this award.
Nomination for Club Person of the Year should be based on the following criteria.
- works for the benefit of the Club and is dedicated to helping with various Club activities to encourage, foster and promote Athletics within the Frankston area
- volunteers their time freely and not for financial gain
- is a positive role model for the Club
- genuinely acts in the best interest of the Club
Nominations to be reviewed by Frankston Athletic Club Committee, final determination of the winner to be made by majority vote of the committee.
Coaches Award
This award is to be decided between all of the associated Frankston Athletic Club Coaches, to determine the Athlete that in their opinion embodies the values of the Frankston Athletic Club, the decision may be based around Athlete ability (i.e. results), Athlete behaviour, or Athlete standing amongst their peers or a combination of those and other qualifications. Coaches must come to a Single majority decision. Any deadlocks to be broken by the Frankston Athletic Club Vice President
Frankston Athletic Club Coach of the year
To be selected by the Frankston Athletic Club Committee, The Frankston Athletic Club Coach of the year will be determined by results in the following based on one or more of the following criteria:-
- The coach of a record at the time an athlete wins a championship gold medal.
- Excellence in coaching as demonstrated by a significant and substantial
contribution to the development of athletics and/or the advancement of coaching
Examples:
• successful national/ state team coach or national/ state team manager;
• coach of one or more internationally successful athletes;
• coach of several nationally successful athletes; (medal winning athletes)
• coach of several successful young athletes; (AV or VLAA medal winning athletes)
• developed an effective coaching programme (for club, children, youth, women, disabled, etc;
• developed other coaches (through educational activities and or mentoring);
• lifetime achievement as a coach.
Life Member
To qualify for Life Membership with the Frankston Athletic Club,
An athlete must be involved and competed at the Club level for a minimum of 15 Years
or represented Australia at a Commonwealth or Olympic Games,
or a person must serve a minimum of 10 years on the committee or as a recognised club coach, or organised a regular team of athletes on an ongoing basis – ie: Organised Summer Shield or Cross Country teams (or a combination of all 3) and be deemed to have made an outstanding contribution to the Club, to be eligible.
Athlete Membership Awards
Presented to Athletes where it can be determined that they have held membership of the Frankston Athletic Club on the following basis (and where applicable)
5 Years – Bronze Membership Award
10 Years – Silver Membership Award
15 Years – Gold Membership Award / Eligible for Life Membership
(awards to be presented on year of achievement and will not be presented where the milestone was been achieved prior to 2013)

U14
Men and Women
Participation Medallions presented to all U14 Athletes who meet initial qualification criteria which is to have competed at a minimum of 3 2014/15 Shield Rounds
(Also able to qualify for State / National Record Awards, Coaches Award, Presidents award etc.)
For all Track & Field Awards, Athletes must have competed in a minimum of three (3) Shield Rounds, and will only be eligible for a specific event award where they have competed in a minimum of 50% of the available events at Shield rounds ( Ie if a Triple Jump event is available 5 times across the season, then the athlete must have competed in that event at least 3 times to be eligible for the award
